 | God spoke to my heart through my Pastor, “Sometimes it is good not to know.” |
We were driving and talking about my husband and I waiting on instructions for the next chapter in our lives. It might be that God wants us to stay where we are or it may be that another move is in store – we honestly have no clue! When she initially gave me the word – I responded with “why”. She said she didn’t know and we both laughed. I appreciated her honesty and the fact that she was willing to listen and wait to hear from God. A few minutes later He shared with her that “He wanted me to be focused on the present” – which is my current season.
Then, there was a car pulling out in front of us before the light turned green – as if they were in a hurry. But once the light changed, they pulled off at regular speed. It was like God was giving me a tangible visual about how we can get ahead of Him…impatient…unwilling to heed His will and/or direction for our lives. Though we know that the light will turn green – we still need to wait for it. Moving before its time could cause chaos.
Prayer
God, I pray that we listen and are willing to wait on You. Help us to remember to be patient and allow You to guide and lead us. Patience is a virtue – one that has to be developed…matured. May we choose to allow both!
