 | I recently had a birthday...one I never thought I would reach - but that's another testimony. Anyway, I was led to begin some soul searching - to really locate myself in my personal relationship with Christ. |
Where was I truly at in my walk? If I was to be honest, I had become lazy, fleeting, no longer hungry for His word but starving nonetheless!
Why? How could this happen? I knew what to do and how to do it. Yet I still CHOSE not to do it. What I was struggling with was my flesh - my old way of thinking...that which clothes my soul. I knew better. But how many of us know better yet neglect to CHOOSE to DO better? What kind of example was I setting for our children? What was my everyday walk as a child of THE Most High God exhibiting?
Can I tell you that I was convicted, ashamed, and even embarrassed of what I had allowed to detour me in my own personal walk. Then I thought, now what? What do I do to get back on track? Similar to when you drive and even though your car is equipped with a GPS, you consciously decide to not consult it. Instead you pull over, pause, take a deep breath, and remember where you were the last time you were headed in the right direction. YOU TURN AROUND - plain and simple! You get back on track, repent, and accept God's grace AND His mercy! He never stopped loving me, He never left me, He was ALWAYS right there...waiting with open arms like a deployed soldier bends and stretches out his arms to receive his running child!
Can it be that simple? To just turn around and neglect to think about the hiccup that took place? ABSOLUTELY!

Father, I pray that everyone reading this determines in their heart to ALLOW Your Son Jesus to wash them white as snow. Help them to know You are ALWAYS available, 24-7 and willing to not only listen but welcome them back with outstretched arms!!
